Good News: SAVE food hub Sidmouth is open again!

We are thrilled to announce that after a positive discussion with the team at Sidmouth Co-op, we are officially restarting our food collections.

Starting Monday, 09 March 2026, we aim to collect surplus food every weekday to ensure nothing goes to waste and stays within the community.

The Details

  • When: Monday to Friday, approximately 8:00 PM.

  • Where: The Foyer of the Methodist Church (directly opposite Vinnicombes Bakery).

  • Frequency: Daily, provided we have enough volunteer cover.

    A Few Important Notes

Since the Co-op has only recently reopened, stock levels are still variable, so we may not open in the evening:

    • Stock Availability: If there is little to no surplus on a particular day, the Co-op team will notify us. In such cases, we may have to cancel a collection on short notice.

    • Volunteer Coverage: Collections depend entirely on our wonderful volunteers. If we don’t have a collector available for a specific night, that session won't go ahead.

    How to Stay Updated

To avoid a wasted trip, please keep a close eye on our WhatsApp group.

    1. Look for the daily post: We will post every afternoon to confirm that a collection is happening that evening.

    2. No post = No collection: If you don’t see a message by the evening, please assume we don't have the volunteers or stock for that night.

Tip: If you aren't already in our WhatsApp group, send us a message to ask for a link to the Sidmouth WhatsApp group.

We can't wait to see you all again at SAVE food hub Sidmouth.
